OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 July 2009 was announced, that the longest tunnel on Moscow’s Garden Ring Road called Tagansky which has been undergone reconstruction since 2006 is to be opened in late August.

"We are to have the work aimed at repairing Tagansky Tunnel completed on August 25 and it will open to traffic together with Taganskaya Square," Sergey Kostinsky, head of Gidromost state unitary enterprise, said.

According to the official, the overhaul of the bridge is currently being finished, the work aimed at improving the nearby area will start anon.

Mr Kostinsky added that the work was being financed entirely and with no delay.
