OREANDA-NEWS. On July 22, 2009 The Prime Minister has empowered the Finance Ministry to form draft State Budget for 2010 on the basis of approved by the Parliament Law “On making changes to the Budget Code”, to which the President used his veto. A respective commission was given by Yulia Tymoshenko during the Governmental session.

“A very clear commission for the Finance Ministry: we are forming draft Budget of 2010 just in the concept of the new Budget Code and we are not to step back… And after the presidential campaign we will sign such Budget,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

She also added the Gov’t would join efforts with associations of local self-government so that “the President cancelled his veto or the veto was overcome by the Verkhovna Rada”.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized the President while vetoing changes to the Budget Code was guided not by interests of people and societies but by a wish “to destroy competitors in a presidential race”.
