OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2009. Within the Programme on transfer of cargo flows from the cargo areas of the Greater port of Saint-Petersburg to the main roads, approved by the Government of Saint-Petersburg, the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” completed the design works related to the reconstruction of “Gapsalskie gates” and construction of the new gate out to Dvinskaya street.”

The group of companies transferred over 38 mln. for the design works and preparation of the technical specifications related to the reconstruction and construction of the above-mentioned facilities; environmental expertise and approval of layout of engineering utilities.

These measures will make it possible to solve the problem of the limited number of access roads to the 1st and 2nd areas of the port and will help to decrease the environmental pressure on the residential areas adjacent to the port. 

It is planned to transfer over 230 mln. rubles for the implementation of this programme till the end of 2009.
