OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 July 2009 was announced, that Prominvestbank and the leader of fuel & energy market of Ukraine - DFEC - signed an Agreement about opening of USD 20 million credit line for 18 months.

Financing will be directed to the investment program in the energy producing segment of DFEC, namely, for purchasing of turbines produced at Leningradsky machine-building plant "Sylovi mashyny" for the reconstruction of power unit of thermal power plant " Skhidenergo" (DFEC).

The first Letter of Credit under this program for RUR 250 million was opened on June 9, 2009.

"It is very important for us to keep on our cooperation with DFEC that is our long-standing solvent and stable partner investing into the future, in spite of crisis", - said in his comments Deputy Chairman of Prominvestbank Mr. Olexander Chainikov.

Financial Director of DFEC Mr. Yuriy Ryzhenkov said: "This Agreement is of top importance for our company. On one side we resumed our mutually beneficial business cooperation with the bank that has always been our partner. On the other hand we received the possibility to proceed with the investment program within the planned terms. Skhidenergo" (DFEC) is the only heat generating company in Ukraine carrying out significant reconstruction and equipment updating program."
