OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 July 2009 was announced, that pursuant to the Order of VolgaTelecom CEO, Albert Safiullin was appointed Deputy CEO – Commercial Director. He entered upon the office on July 17, 2009. The decision on A. Safiullin’s appointment was approved by Volga Telecom Board of Directors on July 16, 2009.

Safiullin Albert Mikhailovich was born on August 24, 1962. In 1984 he gradated from Gorky State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, specialty of computational mathematics. From 1991 to 1995 Safiullin worked at Sprint Network Closed Joint Stock Company (currently operating under Orange trademark), where he rose from a leading specialist of the Marketing Department to the Head of the Transaction System Department. In 1995-1997 he worked in a number of business organizations. From 1997 Albert Mikhailovich managed such business directions as marketing, sales, development and integration of new services, and business development of Sovintel LLC (later – Golden Telecom); in 2003-2005 – executive director of Geocosmos. In 2005-2007 Safiullin occupied the post of director of a Moscow operating company Electro-Com R, and from February 2007 – the post of marketing director at a management company Electro-Com CJSC. In 2007-2008 Safiullin in the capacity of Deputy CEO managed the commercial block of Sky Link CJSC. In December 2008 he was appointed CEO of Sotel – Nizhniy Novgorod CJSC, and from January to July 2009 he headed a branch of Astarta ZAO CJSC, remaining at the same time in the position of CEO of Sotel – Nizhniy Novgorod.

A. Safiullin took a course in business planning and analysis at Fuqua School of Business, Duke University (USA), and in 2007 he completed an Executive MBA course in strategic and corporate management at Higher Commercial Management School at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Albert Safiullin replaced previous Deputy CEO Oleg Ershov, who left the company in early June 2009.
