OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 July 2009 was announced, that within the limits of the project of complex development Shtokmanovsky gas condensate field, "the Phase 1" the company "SHtokman Development AG" (Shtockman Development AG) has notified on the beginning of procedure of advertised bidding with preliminary qualifying selection. As they say in a company communique, prequalifying documents on participation in the tender are accepted till August, 13th, 2009.

The tender subject declares the contract on rendering of services in the directed drilling, to measurements in the course of drilling, in the course of drilling, to system operated drillings and to navigating researches of chinks.

By working out Shtokmanovsky gas-condensate pool the technology of underwater drilling will be used. The deposit is located in Barents sea on distance about 600 km to the north-northeast from Murmansk. Support of chisel works on the sea will be made from land base of support.

The tender includes granting of the personnel, the equipment and the materials necessary for realization of directed drilling, measurements in the course of drilling, in the course of drilling with use of one or two mobile chisel installations for development of the Shtokmanovsky deposit in Barents sea.

The company "SHtokman Development AG" – the joint venture founded on February, 15th, 2008 for the decision of problems of financing, designing, building and operation of objects of the First phase of development Shtokmanovsky gas condensate field.

Shares of participation in the project were distributed as follows: Open Society "Gazprom" – 51 %, Total S.A. (France) – 25 % and StatoilHydro ASA (Norway) – 24 %.

"SHtokman Development AG" will be the proprietor and the operator of an infrastructure of the First phase of development Shtokmanovsky GKM throughout 25 years.

Within the limits of the First phase 23,7 billion м3 natural gas in a year will be extracted.

The beginning of deliveries of gas on a gas pipeline is planned for 2013, compressed natural gas (SNG) – for 2014. Transportation of a part of the natural gas extracted within the limits of the Shtokmanovsky project, will be carried out through Baltic sea on main gas pipeline Nord Stream which will connect Russia and the European Union.

Partnership of Open Society "Gazprom", Total S.A. And StatoilHydro ASA within the limits of the Shtokmanovsky project unites long-term experience, enormous resources and the high technologies necessary for success of this unique project.

Shtokmanovsky gas condensate fields located in the centre of a shelf zone of the Russian sector of the sea Barentseva on distance about 600 kilometres to the northeast from Murmansk. Depth of the sea in this area Barentseva of the sea reaches 340 metres. On the reconnoitered stocks of natural gas SHtokman is today one of the world's largest. Deposit stocks on category C1+C2 make about 3,8 bln. м3 natural gas and a 37 million order at a gas condensate.
