OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2009. Regional Operational Committee Visa International CEMEA, on 9 July 2009 during its meeting in London, made a decision on increasing the status of Alp Jamol Bank to Fundamental member of international association Visa International.

This kind of status allows an opportunity to emit cards independently in own processing centre, carry independent tariff policy, maintaining trade point on accepting Visa International cards, and also render processing services to other associated members of Visa International.

Alp Jamol Bank started emission of Visa International plastic cards in January 2005, as an associated member of the association. For 2008 the turnover of Alp Jamol Bank by Visa International cards made over US28 million.

By becoming a Fundamental member of Visa International, Alp Jamol Bank is planning to offer its clients new card products and services: Visa Platinum, services on money transfers by Visa cards, portable payment systems and others.
