OREANDA-NEWS. On July 17, 2009 Closed-type joint stock company First Ukrainian International Bank has changed its name for PUBLIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY FIRST UKRAINIAN INTERNATIONAL BANK, reported the press-centre of SCM.

The decision was made by the regular General Meeting of Shareholders of the bank on 22 April 2009. This step has been taken by the FUIB after the Law of Ukraine On Joint Stock Companies took effect.

"We should note that this change is not a transformation (change of the business ownership form) of the Bank and didn't require to apply the procedure of shutting the bank down as a legal entity", Chief Legal Officer of FUIB Rostislav Matyash commented.

So, pursuant to the changes made in the Charter of FUIB, the name of the bank will be as follows:

- full name: FIRST UKRAINIAN INTERNATIONAL BANK, PUBLIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY ;

- short name: FUIB, PUBLIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY;

- commercial (brand) name: FUIB.
