OREANDA-NEWS. On July 16, 2009 JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines has summarized its financial results for June and H1 of 2009, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

In June 2009, the air carrier flew 758.1 thousand passengers (including 12.5 thousands by charter), and performed 2,174 million passenger kilometers.

In June, the work load in regard to passenger carriage decreased by 11.1% (95.1 thousand passengers) compared to the level of 2008. The passenger load factor in June was 70.7%, which is 3.8% lower than in the last year. The production figures reveal a slowing in the carriage downturn seen in the first months of 2009.

In the six months of 2009, Aeroflot carried 3.853 million passengers, performed 11.338 billion passenger kilometers. The passenger load factor amounted to 63.5%, commercial load, 50.7%.

Compared to 2008, work load in the first six months went down: in passenger carriage by 12.1%, in passenger turnover by 10.8%.
