OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2009. Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee held at the Gazprom Headquarters an extended meeting of the Emergencies Response & Fire Safety Commission and Civil Defense Board of Gazprom.

Taking part in the meeting were Members of the Management Committee: Oleg Aksyutin, Head of the Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department, Yarolslav Golko, Head of the Investments and Construction Department, Vasily Podyuk, Head of the Gas, Gas Condensate and Oil Production Department as well as heads of gas production and transmission subsidiaries (Gazprom UGS inclusive) operating the facilities of the Russian Unified Gas Supply System. The meeting participants discussed the measures aimed at further improvement of activities to prevent and eliminate incident consequences at gas trunklines.

Special emphasis was placed on streamlining Gazprom Group's fire safety system. Based on the meeting results Gazprom's specialized subdivisions received pertinent tasks.
