OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 July 2009 was announced, that Irkutskenergo and Vostsibugol merging will benefit development of coal-mining areas, FRRIO's Director Nikolay Potorochenko says.

JSC Irkutskenergo and LLC "Vostsibugol Company" merging is a positive factor for social and economic development of the coal-mining areas of the Irkutsk region, Executive Director of the Fund for Regional Development of the Irkutsk region (FRRIO) Nikolay Potorochenko reports. According to the FRRIO's press service, Mr. Potorochenko especially noted a role of merging two companies in development of such coal-mining areas as Tulunsky and Cheremkhovsky ones.

Let us remind that the meeting of the JSC Irkutskenergo's Board of Directors of 3 July adopted fulfilment of the related transactions on purchase of shares of JSC "Resursservisholding", the structure of which includes LLC "Vostsibugol Company". Nikolay Potorochenko assumed that the economic sense of the transaction between Irkutskenergo and Vostsibugol consists in a decrease of transaction costs and optimization of transportation and logistics schemes.
