OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2009 The state airline "Air Moldova" has joined ARC (Airline Reporting Corporation). This will allow all "Air Moldova" customers to purchase tickets for "Air Moldova" direct and connecting flights on the territory of USA, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

Joining ARC significantly expands "Air Moldova" agent network – from now on tickets for "Air Moldova" flights, as well as for flights of "Air Moldova" partners can be purchased from any of 18 000 ARC accredited agencies. Thanks to special agreements with major world airlines inclusive US airlines, any US agent will be able to issue connecting flights from majority of US destinations to Chisinau offering "Air Moldova" passengers attractive prices and most convenient connections via Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna, Domodedovo and other airports.

In the period from May, 2008 to May, 2009 more than 15 000 passengers travelled from Chisinau connecting from "Air Moldova" flights to various US destinations.

Settlement systems similar to ARC exist all over the world and are known as BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan). Currently "Air Moldova" is a member of BSPs of ten countries – France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey.

"Air Moldova" plans to join BSP Canada and BSP Russia until the end of the current year.

"Air Moldova" operates flights to 17 destinations – Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaka, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Prague, Moscow, St.-Petersburg and Varna.
