OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 July 2009 was announced, that the Russian-Vietnamese Joint Venture "Vietsovpetro" in accordance with its exploration schedule is constructing well № 19 with the projected depth of 5180 meters in the north-eastern part of “White Tiger” oil field.

During the drilling operations was made a discovery of a highly perspective oil deposit in the Oligocene sediments and also intermediate tests of the upper part of the foundation within the range of 4654-4606 m were successfully conducted. During the foundation testing in various modes, waterless oil flows with density of 0, 82 g/ sm3 and wellhead pressure of over 200 atmospheres were received. These results allow to say about discovering of a new oil deposit in the foundation.

The obtained results of geophysical explorations of Oligocene sediments and tests of the upper part of the foundation enable to noticeably increase petroleum reserves of JV “Vietsovpetro".
