Issuing collector coins dedicated to the Olympic Games is a long tradition in Eesti Pank that started already in 1992. In order to mark the XXI Olympic Winter Games that will be held in Vancouver, Canada in 2010, Eesti Pank will issue a silver collector coin with the nominal value of 10 kroons. The design has to bear the nominal value "10 krooni" and the logo of the Estonian Olympic Committee. The design should not include symbols that are the property of the International Olympic Committee and the organising committee of the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games.
The deadline for submitting duly completed designs to Eesti Pank is 10 September 2009.
A participant or a group of participants may submit more than one design. The panel convened by Eesti Pank will disclose the competition results by 17 September 2009, at the latest. The winning design will be awarded with 30,000 kroons after the issuance of the coin.
