Yandex.Direct Completed Testing Its Light Interface
OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2009. Yandex.Direct has completed testing its Light interface. The new interface does not require any special knowledge about contextual advertising or skills to place ads. Advertisers can choose which version – the new Light or the old Professional – they want to use.
During the testing period, more than 7,000 advertisers tried the Light interface. It took less than 15 minutes for about 90% of them to place their ads using the Light version with all basic actions fully automated. Yandex.Direct automatically scans content on the target website and suggests matching keywords. After a client makes payment for their order, their advertising budget is automatically optimized to drive as much traffic to their site as possible.
“The new interface is aimed, first and foremost, at beginner advertisers whose number has significantly increased since the onset of the economic crisis,” says Olga Visotskaya, head of Yandex.Direct. “We will continue to develop our old interface by tweaking the settings knowing that newbies are safe using a foolproof interface”.
Yandex.Direct is the first and the largest contextual advertising system in the Russian Internet. Ads are displayed on search results pages and on websites in the Yandex Advertising Network.
