OREANDA-NEWS. On July 14–16 2009 representatives of RFNC-VNIIEF, as part of a delegation of closed administrative territorial district and Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, are taking part in annual conference of Russian-British Closed Nuclear Cities Partnership in Novgorod.

The conferees will discuss the results of the program in 2008–2009.

The program was launched in 2002. In Nov 2004 Rosatom and the UK Ministry of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum on mutual understanding concerning British-Russian Closed Nuclear Cities Partnership.

The program helps to implement innovative projects in closed nuclear cities with a view to ensure stable jobs for nuclear workers and to stimulate the economic development of the cities.
