Russia Submitted Treaty on Establishing EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund
OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev submitted Treaty on Establishing EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund and Agreement on Managing EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund Finances to the State Duma for ratification.
On June 9, 2009, the prime ministers of EurAsEC (Eurasian Economic Community) countries and Armenia, signed a treaty establishing an anti-crisis fund. The fund’s registered capital is 10 billion dollars, of which 7.5 billion is contributed by Russia. The fund’s money will be used to provide sovereign loans and stabilization loans to member-states and to finance international investment projects.
EurAsEC members include Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Moldova, Ukraine, and Armenia have observer status
