Uzbekistan to Rise Salaries by 25%
OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2009 President Islam Karimov signed a decree on increasing the sizes of the salaries, pensions, stipends and social allowances, aimed at increasing the incomes and the living level of the population, reported the Official website gov.uz.
According to the document, the salaries, pensions and social allowances, as well as stipends will be increased 1.25 times on the average.
Starting from 1 August, the minimum salary will comprise 33,645 soums per month, age pension and allowance for disabled from childhood 66,660 soums, while the allowance for elderly and work-incapable citizens without the required work experience will make up 40,375 soums.
