OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2009. Russian Agricultural Bank was certified by international payment system MasterCard to perform acquiring functions. The cards will be accepted in the network of trade and service enterprises supported by the Bank, reported the press-centre of Russian Agricultural Bank.

In the short term, RusAg plans to launch its own MasterCard payment cards.

In July 2009, total amount of payment cards issued by the Bank reached 200 thousand. Under payroll card program RusAg serves over 1600 enterprises and has issued over 100 thousand payment cards. The Bank’s terminal network includes more than 1100 ATMs and about 1300 cash advance offices.

Russian Agricultural Bank started issuing and serving local payment cards in 2008. In September 2008, the Bank launched VISA cards. All payment cards issued by the Bank correspond to the international standard EMV.
