Crude Oil Production 
OAO TATNEFT produced 2,127,270 tons of crude oil in June. The total production of OAO TATNEFT amounted to 12,792,565 tons of crude oil during the period of six months with the above-the-plan production amounting to 209,414 т (101.7% to the plan).

All NGDUs (Crude Oil and Gas Production Boards) fulfilled their crude oil production plans. The amount of 12,829,760 tons of crude oil was delivered with the above-the-plan delivery amounting to 571, 140 tons of crude oil.

Drilling
The total penetration during the period of four months of 2009, taking into account OOO Lenburneft, amounted to 297 thousand meters including: 265 thousand meters for OAO TATNEFT including 246 thousand meters of production drilling and 19 thousand meters of exploratory drilling; 18 thousand meters for the subsifiary companies of OAO TATNEFT, including 6 thousand meters of production drilling and 12 thousand meters of exploratory drilling; and 14 thousand meters for the joint ventures and independent oil companies, including 10 thousand meters of production drilling and 4 thousand meters of exploratory drilling.

178 wells were constructed and handed over to customers and out of this amount 153 wells were constructed for OAO TATNEFT, including 142 production wells with a number of exploratory wells amounting to 11; 6 wells were drilled for the subsidiary companies of OAO TATNEFT including 3 production wells and 3 exploratory wells; 19 wells were constructed for the joint ventures and independent oil companies, including 13 production wells and 6 exploratory wells.

39 crews of OOO Burenye Company performed well drilling operations with application of traditional drilling techniques during the period of six months. They penetrated 277,526 meters and handed over 169 wells to the customers. Besides one drilling crew performed works on construction of wells drilled in the underbalanced pressure mode for NGDU Bavlyneft. Eight drilling crews operated in the Samara District. 22 thousand meters were penetrated outside the Republic of Tatarstan. 50.4 thousand meters were penetrated in horizontal wells and multilateral downhole splitters. Penetration per one drilling crew amounted to 7,195 during the period of six months.

Drilling operations of OOO Lenburneft with application of traditional drilling techniques were performed by 4 drilling crews.19,924 meters were penetrated during the period of six month with 15,699 meters drilled for OAO TATNEFT and 7 wells handed over to NGDU Leninogorskneft. One crew was drilling a well for Krasnoyarskgazprom company in Krasnoyarsk Area, while two crews were drilling wells for NGDU Leninogorskneft and one drilling crew performed drilling operations to the bituminous deposits at Ashalchinskoye field of NGDU Nurlatneft.

11 crews were engaged in drilling lateral and horizontal wellbores with 7 of them drilling horizontals and laterals for NGDUs of OAO TATNEFT and 4 crews performed drilling for outside companies in the territory of the Orenburg District. 14,206 meters were penetrated during the period of six months and 42 wells were handed over to the customers, including 8,349 meters drilled for OAO TATNEFT with 29 wells handed over.

Workovers and EOR
965 well remedial operations were performed in June 2009 and 4,619 well remedial operations were performed during the period of six months. 17 well remedial operations (4 wells in June) were performed in ZAO Tatneft-Samara.

The workover operations were performed at 1,020 during the first half a year of 2009 (185 wells in June), including production string sealing in 143 wells; shutting-off individual layers and recompletion in other intervals in 210 wells; transfer of the wells into different categories and wells completion for injection in 80 wells; failure liquidation and cleaning of the electrical cable and the bottom hole areas in 149 wells; physical well abandonment and re-abandonment in 12 wells.

252 wells were worked over with application of coil tubing (53 wells in June), including 90 wells worked over through the annulus.

Hydrofracking operations were performed at 71 wells (12 wells in June) with incremental oil production amounting to 2,721 thousand tons.

12 slim holes were drilled for OAO TATNEFT with 10 wells completed, while 2 wells of NGDU Almetyevneft are in the process of completion.

13 wells were drilled and completed for small oil companies. Four crews perform drilling operations for OOO Bytex.

Works on oil recovery enhancement were performed at 852 wells (196 wells in June) including chemical treatment methods applied at 484 (106 wells in June).

The incremental oil production resulting from application of the enhanced oil recovery methods amounted to 2,562 thousand tons with chemical methods accounting for the production in the amount of 1,230 thousand tons of crude oil.

14 thousand 460,731 tons of chemicals were produced during the period of six months of the current year for the total amount of 321 million rubles.
