IDGC of North-West Chooses Contractor for Overhead Lines
OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2009. Realization of a large-scale investment project on affiliation of “Oleniy Ruchey” mining and concentrating complex is being carried out.
Development of project documents and construction of 150 kV overhead lines to supply 150/35/6 kV “Oleniy Ruchey MCC” substation (Murmansk region) will be implemented by “Power Group” CJSC. The company was recognized the winner of open request for proposal announced by IDGC of North-West at the end of May 2009.
It is supposed to start work immediately so that to finish building of two exhaust lines by 2010 and provide technological area of future “Oleniy Ruchey” mining and concentrating complex with 8 mW capacity.
Experts of IDGC of North-West and “Power Group” go to Murmansk region today to the place of production to specify amount of works and reduce duration of their implementation.
To remind, agreement on technical connection of “North-West Phosphor Company”, CJSC to grids of IDGC of North-West was signed in March 2009. This project is one of the largest in Murmansk region in the past decade for “Kolenergo”, a branch of IDGC of North-West.
According to the application, “NWPC” needs the capacity of 38 mW to provide the future “Oleniy Ruchey” MCC in Murmansk region with electric power with perspective of 66 mW in 2018.
Technical connection of “NWPC” objects to electric grids is planned to be done in two stages. The first one provides for delivery of 8 mW capacity by the end of 2009 and 38 mW in 2011. The stage includes projecting and building of exhaust lines with length of 7.3 km from electric power transmission lines of “Kolenergo”, a branch of IDGC of North-West, 150-Distribution Substation, 150/35/6 kV substation.
