On 09 July 2009 was announced, that the major grain-processor in Siberia and the Far East OJSC Grainvest targets the production of vital wheat gluten, a valuable product in food industry. This substance, manufactured from grain, is used for producing the whole range of baked goods and confectionaries, providing high protein content. PAVA`s subsidiary company will be developing production capacities to meet both domestic and export demands.

Though the domestic gluten market is not saturated, the company faces difficulties seeking for prospective customers, as there is a shortage of knowledge in applying gluten to food industry and the market price for this product is relatively high in Russia. However, this substance is widely used abroad in different industrial spheres. OJSC Grainvest is planning to become one of the leading gluten exporters in the long-time perspective. International markets will allow the company to extend its distribution channels.

Now OJSC Grainvest is having talks with several large trade companies to settle contracts for gluten supply. Preliminary agreements have already been signed with some European and American manufacturers.
