OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 July 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh IJSC - one of the leading companies in aviation insurance in Russia - had resumed its programs of obligatory protection for aviation portfolio and increased the capacity of air carriers‘ liability reinsurance contract. The obligatory contract was signed  through the intermediary Willis Limited (Great Britain).

Starting with July 1, 2009, protection will cover risks that entail air carrier’s liability to the amount of USD 950mln. Traditionally, there has been an optional placement of such risks with foreign companies  and prices of protection were based on assessment of each specific risk. The obligatory protection will lower the price of reinsurance protection, and the clients of Ingosstrakh will pay much less for insurance services. 

Global Aerospace is the leader of the reinsurance program, its other participants are Lloyd syndicates, European and American insurance and reinsurance companies.
