OREANDA-NEWS. July 9, 2009. Tranzit-Sever-Vostok Co. Ltd becomes North-Eastern Shipowing company and moves the head office to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. There still remains the representative office of Tranzit -Sever-Vostok in Vladivostok. The decision to reorganize the company and change the registered address as well as the Charter of the new enterprise were approved at the special meeting of the shareholders.

The Charter states new company's full name in Russian as OOO Severo-vostochnoe morskoe parokhodstvo (abbreviated OOO SVMP), in English as North-Eastern Shipowing Company Ltd. (abbreviated NESCO LTD).

Although North-Eastern Shipowing Company Ltd will start operation only after all legal procedures upon the registration of the company and its new Charter are completed by the end of July, all the necessary preparations have been made well in advance.
The creation of the North-Eastern Shipowing Company Ltd was initiated in May, at the workshop of the supporters of the real economy strategic enterprises of  Kamchatskiy region, when the project developed by the "Group Transit DV"  top-managers gained the support of the local authorities.
At present the fleet of the company consists of nine vessels, total  DWT exceeding 100 000 mts. The fleet was gathered with the particular purpose for the North Supply program thus all the vessels are equipped for the work in Northern districts.
