OREANDA-NEWS. July 9, 2009. Board of Trustees of Kazan State Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev, the main institute of higher education in the system of Machine Building Educational Cluster on the basis of KAMAZ Inc., and the administration of Naberezhnye Chelny met in KAMAZ R&D Center.

The participants of the meeting were the administration of KSTU and members of Board of Trustees headed by its Chairman, First Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Boris Pavlov, representatives of the management of KAMAZ Inc., OAO Sollers and the administration of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov recounted the main tasks institutions of higher education have to cope with – namely, human resources development and scientific support of innovation development of Tatarstan machine building enterprises. Director General of KAMAZ Inc. Sergey Kogoghin and his colleagues from Naberezhnye Chelny and Yelabuga told about the problems they face at their enterprises. President of KSTU Gennady Degtyarev, rector of KSTU Yury Gortyshov and pro-rector of innovative education of KSTU Gaziz Mingaleev made speeches. The participants of the meeting heard about the system of KSTU of human resource development and retraining of specialists for high-tech economic sectors and the practice of their poly-professional project training. The issues of holding VI International Theoretical and Practical Conference “Automobile and Technosphere” were also discussed.

Then the participants of the meeting visited Scientific and Educational Center of KSTU located in KAMAZ R&D Center. Pro-rector of KSTU of scientific work Victor Gureev told about equipment and software of the center, its facilities for modeling and analysis.

According to the results of the meeting of Board of Trustees of KSTU an appropriate decision was made.
