OREANDA-NEWS. July 9, 2009. The Company reports that after Azerbaijan, the biggest number of subscribers of Azercell is in Russia.

“One million of Azercell subscribers in this country is able to benefit from the high quality communication services provided by this mobile operator. Russian Government appreciated the achivements of Azercell Telecom. Thus, Azercell Telecom LLC was awarded the prestigious Progress prize for the reliable communication services provided between Azerbaijan and Russia,” the statement said.
The first presentation of Progress Prize was organized by the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Co-operation Chamber in 2008 with the support of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Chamber of Commerce. The aim of this Prize is to identify and appreciate individuals and entities who participate in fostering the commercial ties between Azerbaijan and Russia.
