OREANDA-NEWS. July 8, 2009. During its first meeting the Board of Directors of Wholesale Generating Company-1 (elected by its shareholders June 26 2009) appointed Head of Inter Rao UES Yevgeny Dod as its Chairman.

The Board comprises Deputy Director General for Organizational Development of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Boris Kovalchuk, vice chairmen of the Board of the Federal Network Company UES Mikhail Tuzov and Andrey Demin, Head of Corporation Management Department of the Federal Network Company UES Yuri Goncharov, Vice Chairman of the Board of Vnesheconombank Anatoly Ballo, First Vice Chairman of the Board of System Operator of UES Nikolay Shulginov, member of the board, Executive Director for Economy and Finance of RusHydro OJSC Sergey Yushin, Head of Corporate Finances Department of RusHydro Sergey Terebulin, Head of Corporate Management Department of RusHydro Yulia Smirnova and Director General of Institute of Professional Director Dmitry Shtykov.

Wholesale Generating Company-1 was established Mar 23 2005 and is Russia’s biggest wholesale thermal power generating company with a total capacity of 9,531MW.

The company comprises Perm GRES, Verkhniy Tagil GRES, Kashira GRES, Urengoy GRES and Iriklino GRES.
