OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 July 2009 was announced, that Director General of Sevmash N. Kalistratov commented the results of the visit to the enterprise of the government delegation headed by President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

”The visit of the President gives the impulse for the further development of shipbuilding at our enterprises” - said N. Kalistratov. – “Our work is thoroughly, specifically and very positively reviewed, our achievements are appreciated, tasks are set to be solved”.

During conversations with the Head of the State several themes were discussed: repair and modernization of cruiser "Admiral Gorshkov". The President agreed that the contract is new and difficult for Russia, however, it must be completed in terms and with high quality. N. Kalistratov reported that despite financing problems, the aircraft carrier is scheduled to be submitted to Indian customers in 2012. Another theme of conversation was the wages of Sevmash workers. "The President agreed that our salary is not very high, it needs to be improved, and I as the director shall make everything to raise the salary of people professionally working at the enterprise", - added N. Kalistratov. The president supported the issue of the enterprise reconstruction, which allows to increase production capacity of Sevmash.

”On the whole, new tasks to be solved are set” – N. Kalistratov summarized. - The main result - the plant will be developed, we will take on young workers and engineers, create attractive conditions for working at Sevmash and living in Severodvinsk. I think we can solve these problems together with our team”.
