OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2009. The Moldova-Vin Agricultural and Industrial Agency will carry out promotional actions of Moldovan wines in Poland, China and the Czech Republic till late 2009, the head of the promotion and foreign relations department of the agency, Iurie Mudrea, has told.

Mudrea said that, till late next August, a festival of Moldovan beverages will be organized in the cities of Lodz and Warsaw, Poland. In September 2009, Moldovan wineries will display their goods within traditional promotional actions in Prague, the Czech Republic. At the end of the year, the plan of promotion of Moldovan drinks is traditionally completed with a festival of Moldovan beverages and culture, held in China.

Iurie Mudrea said that, so far, a string of wine companies from Moldova have announced their intention to participate in the above actions. In the first half of 2009, Moldovan wine companies presented their production at the international exhibition Prodexpo from Moscow, as well as in Austria and the USA.

Preliminary data by the Moldova-Vin Agency show that Moldova exported alcoholic beverages worth 58 million dollars in the past five months of 2009.
