OREANDA-NEWS. July 7, 2009. Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC Vladimir Travin has appointed Oleg Sarayev as manager of the project to build the BN-800 unit of Beloyarsk NPP.

Sarayev will combine this position with the post of Deputy Director General-Director for New Technological Platform of Energoatom Concern OJSC.

As was reported earlier, Atomenergorpom has appointed the managers of Novovoronezh NPP-2 and Leningrad NPP-2 projects. The latter will represent the interests of Atomenergoprom, the investor of the projects, and will coordinate the activities of the key parties to the projects – Energoatom Concern OJSC (owner) and the general contractors.

“The task of Atomenergoprom is to ensure the maximum efficiency of the program to build new nuclear power plants in Russia. The appointment of project managers will help to improve coordination among the parties, to better control the process of construction, to reduce costs and to use all available resources for preventing and solving possible problems,” says Director of Atomenergoprom OJSC Vladimir Travin.

Atomenergoprom is planning to appoint managers for all the other ongoing NPP construction projects.
