Severstal Introduces New Corporate Brand Identity
OREANDA-NEWS. July 7, 2009. Severstal today introduced a new corporate brand identity and launched an updated corporate website to reflect the truly global nature of the company and its status as a leader in the metals and mining industry. The new brand will be used across the entire company and visualize its modern structure through a high-quality, universally recognizable image.
Management’s strategy for the implementation of the brand includes a smooth, incremental transition to an unified brand architecture and the use of a singular graphic logo across all of Severstal's business units by the end of 2010. This will make the company more identifiable and clear to customers, shareholders, investors and other key audiences and stakeholders.
Vadim Saveliev, Senior Vice President, Communications and Public Relations, said: "A brand should develop alongside a company and reflect its growth. Our intention is for the new brand identity to reflect the Severstal’s current positioning in the market and its corporate ambitions. It is important that this brand continues to stand for our business principles; those of a sustainable, transparent, and united international steel and mining company that has grown to become one of the industry leaders."
The new website was created in a style consistent with the new corporate brand identity. The primary goal of the website is to provide all of its visitors with up-to-date, comprehensive information about the company in a user-friendly format.
In addition to the new design and updated information about all Severstal's business units, the website will add new services to help customers, suppliers, investors and others interested in the company find the relevant information, including global business contacts, full-text search and a corporate calendar.
"According to the best international practice, we have developed the new corporate website using state of art design and technology in order to satisfy the current and future needs of our customers and partners,” added Mr. Saveliev.
