Baltika Launches Beer with Czech Traditions
OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 July 2009 was announced, that in June 2009 Baltika Breweries is starting production of the new federal brand Zatecky Gus (Zhatetsky goose). This beer is brewed according to an original recipe with addition of the famous Czech aromatic hop of Zhatetsky variety.
Denis Sherstennikov, Vice-President Marketing, Baltika Breweries: "The launch of the Zatecky Gus brand is not a temporary anti-recessionary measure: high-quality accessible beer brewed in the best Czech traditions will be always in demand. We expect the new brand to attract attention of consumers of various brands."
Zatecky Gus is a light lager with a light traditional flavor. The use of Zhatetsky hop gives the beer its specific aroma and slight bitterness. The new beer drinks easily. The Zhatetsky hop has been grown in the area of Zhatets town in northern Czechia for more than 700 years. It is one of the highest-quality hops in the world and Zhatets is often called the world hop capital.
