Siemens Produced Two SGT-800 Gas-Turbine Units for Perm HPP-6
OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 July 2009 was announced, that Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB in Finspong (
Perm HPP-6 reconstruction is one of the top-priority investment projects of IES-Holding and a key one for the power system development in the Perm Region. A new building will be constructed in the territory of the existing plant, where a steam-gas power-producing unit will be installed on the basis of Siemens equipment.
The last modification of SGT-800 units will be delivered to HPP-6. The unit capacity is 47 MW with efficiency of 37.5%. The capacity of the steam-gas set consisting of two SGT-800 units and a steam turbine reaches 120 MW with the total efficiency of 87%. High capacity of the new set will enable to reduce the annual greenhouse gases emissions by 600 thousand tons.
The Equipment Procurement Contract between OJSC TGC-9 (within Urals Generation Division) and Siemens Corporation was signed in the late 2007. The project implementation will enable to increase the electric generation capacity of Perm HPP-6 up to 180 MW, and the thermal generation capacity - by 240 Gcal/hour. The thermal generation capacity to be introduced will enable heat supply to more than 50 thousand flats. The total amount of investment made by IES-Holding is 5,385 billion roubles.
"When choosing equipment for the implementation of investment projects, IES chooses highly ecological units with high COP. According to the plan, the new steam-gas set will be used in the base-load operating regime, and the existing equipment of HPP-6 will operate during peak load hours", said Alexander Faustov, Senior Vice-President and Technical Director of IES-Holding.
"Siemens is interested in the active participation in modernization of the Russian power industry. We consider our joint project with IES Holding as a referential one in the field of energy efficiency and environment protection", said Hans-Jurgen Wio, Vice-President of Siemens in
