Mr Medvedev also asked many questions, particularly about the role of youth in the innovative development of society and on the development of a unified educational space in the CIS countries.

The 2009 Seliger forum opened on July 2 and will last until August 15. The forum has 8 main themes: technical creativity and innovation, youth entrepreneurship, tolerance, the information highway, national tourism, leadership, volunteerism and  artistic creation.
