Interpipe Supplies Wheel Centers to “Sinara Transport Machines”
OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 July 2009 was announced, that in June 2009, Interpipe was proud to welcome a multi-agency commission consisting of customer representatives from LLC ‘Sinara Transport Machines’ as well as public enterprises ‘UkrNiiv’ and ‘Ukrzaliznytsa to its production facilities at Interpipe’s NTRP mill in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. The multi-agency commission studied the manufacturing method and developed technical documentation about the wheels machining centers. During its visit the commission signed a contract on the start of production of the first consignment of 5,000 wheels centers for LLC ‘Sinara Transport Machines’.
Michael Iskov, Director for Railway Wheels Sales at KLW said:
“Already construction and technological documentation has been developed in the framework of the program as agreed by the customer and approved by the Department of Technical Policy RZD ‘Russian Railways’’. Technical requirements have also been agreed and approved for the production of the wheel center product at Interpipe NTRP mill. The rolled wheels machining centers for electric and diesel locomotives produced at Interpipe’s NTRP mill possess higher durability, reliability and are more efficient than case wheel centers. LLC “Sinara Transport Machines” is a division holding company set up in August 2007 by the Sinara Group. The holding includes Ural Carriage-Building Plant (Verhnyaya Pishma city, Sverdlovskiy region) that specializes in the output of different modifications of freight electric locomotives with direct current and Lyudinovskiy Diesel Locomotive Plant (Lyudinovo city, Kaluzhskiy region) that produce shutters of different modifications.
