OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 July 2009 was announced, that Sibirtelecom had been recognized as a prize-winner of the contest “For Successful Development Of Business In Siberia” with conferment of the “Reliable Partner” status. On June 19, Governor of Novosibirsk region, Mr. Viktor Tolokonsky, presented Sibirtelecom OJSC with a certificate that confirms rights of priority for participation in regional target programs, investment projects, informational support and favorable routine concerning mutual relations with government bodies on the territory of Siberia.

In the course of the awarding ceremony Mr. Alexey Makhorin, acting General Director of Novosibirsk branch, said: “The year of 2008 is associated with some kind of new discoveries and successful achievement of the goals. We realized many new projects aimed at further development of the region and at the same time passed a fortitude test. During the previous year Sibirtelecom invested more than 1 mlrd. rubles in telecom development of Novosibirsk region. Successful activity of the Company on the regional communications market made it possible to transfer more than 470 mln. rubles in the form of taxes to the regional budget.” 

In 2009 Sibirtelecom plans to continue construction of new convergent telecom infrastructure, to carry out further digitization of the networks and to implement modern broadband Internet-access technologies.  Activities connected with service and client-oriented development will be continued. By implementing such policy it is possible to preserve market leadership on the territory of the region and financial efficiency in keeping market shares, achieving high indices of satisfaction and client loyalty, growth of income. 

Some 380 enterprises and institutions, presenting major branches of economy of Novosibirsk region took part in the contest “For successful development of business in Siberia. Experts from Interregional Association of Plant Managers, Novosibirsk Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Administration of the Novosibirsk region, Mayor’s Office of Novosibirsk region, Directorate of Federal Antimonopoly Service in Novosibirsk region and Novosibirsk Auditors’ Association appointed the prize-winners. In the course of summing up the results of the contest the following was taken into account: enterprise development dynamics not less than during the 4 past years, increase in production during the last year, stable position on the market as well as the image in business circles.
