On 02 July 2009 was announced, that X5 Retail Group N.V., Russia's largest retailer in terms of sales (LSE ticker: “FIVE”), is pleased to announce that the Company's Chief Financial Officer Evgeny Kornilov has been ranked number one for Best Investor Relations by a CFO in the Focus Russia 2009 Thomson Reuters Extel Survey. X5’s Investor Relations Director Anna Kareva was named Best Investor Relations Officer in the Russian retail sector.

The 3  annual ranking for Russia by Thomson Reuters Extel Surveys evaluated investor relations efforts of Russian publicly-traded companies in four categories:  Best IR by a Quoted Company, Best IR by a CEO, Best IR by a CFO, and Best IR Officer. In addition, Best IR by a Quoted Company and Best IR Officer were selected in eight industry sectors.  Winners were determined on the basis of a survey among analysts covering the Russian equity market and fund managers investing in Russia, conducted by Thomson Reuters Extel Survey.
