OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 July 2009 was announced, that Swedbank in Ukraine is among the first Ukrainian banks to bring its organizational and legal status and Charter in the accordance with the new Law on Joint-Stock Companies and is now a Public Joint-Stock Company.

A new version of the Charter of the Public Joint-Stock Company Swedbank has been registered in the State Register of Banks. Decision on the change of the name was made on April 30, 2009 at the Shareholders Extraordinary Meeting in compliance with the Law of Ukraine On Joint-Stock Companies that came into effect on April 29, 2009.

Starting with June 10, 2009, the Bank’s full name is:

· Публічне акціонерне товариство "Сведбанк",

Abbreviated name: АТ "Сведбанк" (публічне), in Ukrainian;

· Публичное акционерное общество "Сведбанк",

Abbreviated name: АО "Сведбанк" (публичное), in Russian;

· Public Joint Stock Company “Swedbank”,

Abbreviated name: Swedbank, in English
