OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 July 2009 was announced, that Moscow International Airport Domodedovo has been actively participating in special tactical training events, conducted by the State Administration of Domodedovo. Contests amongst Volunteer Emergency rescue teams are amongst the most spectacular moments of the annual inspection.

Airport employees that are a part of the teams spent a lot of time in intense preparation, developing all theoretical and practical actions in case of biological, chemical or radiation hazards, and also in case of fires and destruction. A high level of professionalism, accuracy and skill, backed up by the will to win gave their results: teams of the airport took first and second places in most contests.

Before the training event a through check of staff education quality and the state of technical facilities of State district objects was conducted. Domodedovo airport has been winning in the contest for the second year in a row and was awarded the “Chernov Cup of Memory” for best results in 2008.

The inspection showed that the material – technical base and professionalism of Domodedovo staff ensure a high level of safety of both passengers and employees in case of emergency.
