OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 July 2009 was announced, that Kondopoga, Inc., celebrated its 80th anniversary. This day workers of the leading Russia's newsprint paper producer, many Russian and foreign partners of the enterprise have gathered in the enterprise's palace of arts.

To congratulate citizens of Kondopoga on the holiday there came Prime Minister of the Government of Karelia Pavel Chernov, Chief Federal Inspector for Karelia Alexander Hynninen, deputy of the State Duma of Russia Valentina Pivnenko, etc. Plenipotentiary of the President in the Northwest Federal District Ilya Klebanov and Head of Karelia Sergey Katanandov have sent their congratulations to employees of the enterprise.

The pulp-and-paper enterprise was founded on June 27, 1929 when the first papermaking machine was started up in Kondopoga and the first paper was made. By 1940 the factory has turned into the enterprise with complete production cycle. During the war Kondopoga was destroyed completely. By significant efforts the first post-war paper was received in 1947, and by 1951 the enterprise has managed to restore its pre-war capacities completely. The 1960s, 1970s and the 1980th was the boom of Kondopoga of pulp-and-paper plant. Regular industry modernization, speed-up, improvement of paper quality have made the enterprise the leader of the branch.

According to the Director General of Kondopoga, Inc., Vladimir Bibilov, today the plant makes more than one half of all the newsprint paper in the country, paper from Kondopoga is delivered to fifty countries of the world.

At the solemn reception many worm words have been told to workers and veterans of the enterprise, its present and former directors. "Kondopoga was lucky that among the enterprise's directors there have been Victor Holopov, Vitaly Federmesser, and its present director Vladimir Bibilov," - Prime Minister of Karelia has mentioned in his speech. According to Pavel Chernov, the enterprise has chosen a unique way of development when in the 1990s primary importance at the enterprise was assigned to the care of people, social objects, housing construction, assistance to the town and the region, and production modernization has been never ceased.

It was interesting to receive congratulations from foreign partners of Kondopoga, Inc. For the anniversary there have come guests from Western and the Eastern Europe, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, other countries and parts of the world. In unanimous opinion the Karelian newsprint paper producer is the best Russian enterprise in the branch, and, despite of the global economic crisis, cooperation with Kondopoga will continue.
