OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 July 2009 was announced, that a modern sports complex worth USD  20 million opened in the city of Abadan of Akhal province of Turkmenistan. The stadium with the capacity of 10 thousand seats was built by Turkish company "ALP-SAN".

The sports complex includes a soccer field, gym, boxing, wrestling, game and fitness rooms, a tennis court, playgrounds for mini football, basketball, handball, volleyball, as well as indoor swimming pool. The stands are equipped with a canopy that protects spectators from sun and rain. The commentary cabin is staffed with modern equipment and panel controlling all services of the facility.

It should be recalled that earlier this year two new stadiums were inaugurated in the administrative centers of Lebap and Mary provinces. The construction of more than 200 sports schools for 75 thousand people, over 100 sport facilities, as well as the reconstruction of 70 existing sports facilities is planned in accordance with the country's National Program until 2020 for the transformation of social and living conditions of the regions of Turkmenistan.
