OREANDA-NEWS. On June 26, 2009 Turkiston Bank joined on Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT). This will allow the bank to expand operations with hard currency and implement security terms of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

SWIFT was founded in 1973. Each bank, member of the organization, has own unique code. Over millions of transactions carried out through the system. Currently, over 8,300 banking organizations in 208 states trust to the SWIFT.
