Uzbekistan and China Signed Documents on Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. On June 29, 2009 The Vice Premier of China’s State Council Li Keqiang, who is visiting Uzbekistan, held talks with the First Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov on Sunday.
The sides considered issues of expansion of economic cooperation, including development and implementation of new projects.
After the talks, Uzbekistan and China signed a number of documents regarding cooperation in areas like oil and gas, healthcare, geology, tourism, construction and railway transport.
China is one of Uzbekistan’s largest foreign economic partners. The volume of mutual trade turnover in January-April made up USD 846.5 million.
