OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2009. Evgeniy AMBROSOV was appointed Senior Executive Vice-President of OAO Sovcomflot. He will supervise the issues of commercial and technical operation of the Group’s fleet. Russia’s projects will be a special priority in his activities, including those related to the operation of the fleet flying the flag of the Russian Federation, transportation and logistical servicing of the offshore projects and the Group’s activities in the Arctic and Far- Eastern region.
Introducing Evgeniy Ambrosov to the Executive Board members as well as to the heads of departments, Sergey Frank specially noted the high professional level of Mr. AMBROSOV, who has got wide experience of practical work in fleet operation, in the implementation of major transportation projects and in shipping companies’ management.

Evgeniy Nikolayevich AMBROSOV
Born on 23 July 1957 in Vladivostok in the FESCO Captain’s family.
In 1979 graduated from the navigation faculty of the Far-Eastern Higher Engineer Academy named after Admiral Nevelskoy.
1979-1980 – Cargo-officer on board the liner vessels of the Far-Eastern Shipping Company.
1980-1997 – Head office of the Far-Eastern Shipping Company. Started as a clerk in Chartering Department and was upgraded to the Head of Fleet Operation Department.
1997-2000 – FESCO Vice-President, Director of Fleet Operation Department.
2000-2002 – Senior Vice-President, OAO Sovcomflot.
2002-2007 – President, OAO Far-Eastern Shipping Company.
2008-2009 – President, FESCO Transportation Group.
26 June 2009 – appointed Senior Executive Vice-President, OAO Sovcomflot.
