OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2009. The plant can produce 60 cubic meters of concrete an hour.

It is situated at the construction site of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant-2 and is equipped with a concrete mixing system manufactured by ELBA company (Germany). The plant has a certified laboratory, a warehouse for storage of neutral materials (in an amount sufficient for 10 days of full-capacity operation) and an 80-ton weight-checking point. The facility can operate in winter at temperature of -30C.

The plant is fully automated and computerized.

Director General of Atomenergoproekt OJSC (the general contractor of the Novovoronezh NPP-2 project) Vladimir Generalov says that now they will have no problems with concrete and will be able to more actively build the NPP.
