OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2009. A number of Russian birch plywood manufacturers announced a round of price increases at the start of June after seeing their prices plunge over recent months, EUWID reports.

At the same time, lead times have lengthened. While orders placed in May could still be delivered within two to three weeks, longer lead times must now be reckoned with. Lead times have already risen to an average of five to six weeks. A few manufacturers reported having sold out of plywood made in June very quickly and were subsequently only negotiating July deliveries.
