OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 June 2009 was announced, that the Moscow builders plan to complete the most complicated stage of development of a multilevel road interchange at Leningradsky Avenue near Sokol subway station included the digging of Alabyano-Baltiysky Tunnel in late 2009.

President of NPO Kosmos Andrey Chernyakov said at a press conference on June 18 that he believed the most complicated stage of the tunnel development – the driving under the underground railway of the Moscow Metro – would be completed by the end of 2009.

According to the official, construction of Volokolamsky Tunnel is planned to be completed by the same time.

Mr Chernyakov emphasized that new objects at Leningradsky Avenue would enable to raise traffic capacity near Sokol station in northern Moscow by 30 per cent.
