ROSNO-MS Shares Successful Record in Medical Aid QMS
OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2009. Yury Bondarev, Deputy CEO of OJSC ROSNO-MS, took part in the extended meeting of the Interregional Coordination Council dedicated to arranging protection of insurants’ rights and ensuring affordability of, and control over, medical aid in course of implementation of territorial OMI programs in the RF regions, held in St. Petersburg, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
In his report, Mr. Bondarev acquainted the audience with the successful results of the company’s efforts in implementing the medical aid quality management system in St. Petersburg.
Among the discussion’s participants also were: E. V. Lukyanov, Deputy Representative of the RF President in the North-Western Federal Okrug, V. E. Zholobov, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Healthcare Committee, A. A. Kolinko, head of the Healthcare Department of the Vologda Regional Government, E. A. Klyujkova, Minister of Healthcare of the Kaliningrad Region, V. M. Kolabutin, Executive Director of St. Petersburg TFOMS, V. D. Anokhin, Executive Director of the Kaliningrad Regional TFOMS, A. N. Alexeev, Executive Director of the OMI Fund of the St. Petersburg Region, S. P. Serdyukov, Director of the State Fund for Development of the North-Western Region, etc.
In his report, Yury Bondarev emphasized that it is the insurer whom the society expects to display responsible attitude towards organizing affordable and high-quality medical aid, and ensuring convenience for patients and their confidence in their own health. Therefore, taking into account the successful implementation by ROSNO-MS of the Medical Aid Quality Management System in St. Petersburg, the project information was disseminated in all regions of the company’s presence.
Thanks to the pilot project for implementation of the Medical Aid Quality Management System and with significant contribution of ROSNO-MS, many outpatient institutions based in St. Petersburg formed their own medical service quality units. The experts from the insurance company and medical institutions have jointly held over 360 examinations of the quality of medical aid provided to patients in city hospitals, which has enabled discovering typical medical errors and take measures to eliminate the same.
The result of all actions aimed at creating the Medical Aid Quality Management System which ROSNO-MS plans to implement in all regions of its presence must be the systemic improvement of the quality of medical aid provided to the OMI insurants, creation of appropriate environment for realization of the citizens’ rights to proper medical aid in terms of quality and volume, optimization of medical spending, and reduction in social tensions.
