OREANDA-NEWS. On June 24, 2009 the Moscow Arbitration Court confirmed validity of the decision and determination issued by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) to the group of persons of "Lukoil" OJSC on an antimonopoly case on the market of oil products in the Russian Federation. In autumn 2008 FAS Russia found that the group of persons of "Lukoil" OJSC violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Antimonopoly Service found that the companies abused dominant position on the wholesale market of oil products by fixing monopolistically high prices for motor petrol, diesel fuel, aviation kerosine and fuel oil.

FAS Russia imposed a 1,443,072,960 Rubles administrative fine for violation the antimonopoly legislation.
