OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2009. The issues of enhancing the inert-parliamentary contacts were put on the agenda of the meeting with Hedi Wegener, a deputy of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan

During the meeting the guest was briefed on the major trends in the activity of the national Parliament aimed at achieving the goals of the large-scale reforms initiated by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the legal sector in particular. Highly appreciating the effective contacts established between the Turkmen parliamentarians and the Bundestag deputies the partners called for further expanding traditional partnership.

Mrs. Hedi Wegener had a meeting at the Turkmen Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under President of Turkmenistan.

During the visit to Ashgabat the German guest was received art the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.
